More Than Toys: How Reddy Soft is Becoming India’s Favorite Gifting Brand
Share on FacebookShare on Twitter

When you walk into a child’s room, there’s often one item that stands out — a well-loved, slightly worn-out soft toy with stories in its seams. For many families in and around Rajasthan, that comforting presence now comes from a brand called Reddy Soft.

Founded in 2023 by Jaipur-based entrepreneur Mr. Pritam, Reddy Soft began as a soft toy startup with a simple promise: to create toys that weren’t just cute, but meaningful. Today, it’s grown into something bigger — a gifting brand with heart, blending design, emotion, and social good.

From birthdays to baby showers, housewarmings to hospital visits, Reddy Soft toys are fast becoming the go-to choice for thoughtful gifts. What sets them apart is more than just their handcrafted quality or cultural aesthetics — it’s the emotional resonance they bring to every occasion.

“We’ve had customers write in saying, ‘My child refuses to sleep without their Reddy lion’ or ‘Your bunny was the first gift my niece smiled at after surgery,’” shares Pritam. “That’s when you know you’re not just making products — you’re making memories.”

The brand’s signature collections include jungle animals, bedtime bears, mythological characters, and customizable name-stitched toys — all made from non-toxic, eco-friendly, and hypoallergenic materials.

Gifts Rooted in Culture

What makes Reddy Soft a uniquely Indian brand is how it draws from local art, stories, and traditions. Many of their toy designs pay tribute to Rajasthan’s folk tales and vibrant culture. From a marigold-colored camel plush to an elephant with mirror-work detailing, each toy has its roots in regional identity.

This cultural connection makes Reddy Soft not just a favorite among parents, but also among NRIs looking for gifts that represent India.

“We recently shipped a bulk order to London for a wedding return gift,” laughs Pritam. “The client wanted ‘something Indian but timeless’ — that’s exactly what we stand for.”

Personalized. Handcrafted. Heartfelt.

Reddy Soft’s customization services have become a major hit. Whether it’s embroidering a baby’s name, creating a matching toy-parent set, or adding a personal message tag, the brand is tapping into the growing market for personalized gifting.

This bespoke approach is made possible by Reddy Soft’s talented team of local artisans — over 50 skilled women from Jaipur and nearby villages, many of whom are sole breadwinners in their families.

“When you place an order with us, there’s a real person who stitches, stuffs, checks, and packs your toy with love,” says Pritam. “That connection is what makes every toy feel alive.”

Social Good, Sewn In

Beyond business, Reddy Soft’s story is deeply tied to empowerment and dignity. In partnership with NGOs, the brand continues to train and employ underprivileged women, many of whom have never worked before. The initiative doesn’t just offer income — it offers identity and respect.

In fact, each Reddy Soft toy comes with a “Made by” card, telling you the name of the artisan who crafted it. It’s a small gesture, but one that shifts how consumers value handmade products.

What’s Next: More Than Just Toys

Reddy Soft is now stepping into lifestyle gifting, with plans to launch soft toy-themed baby hampers, festive gift boxes, and even home décor plushies by Diwali 2025. Their upcoming e-commerce revamp will include gift registry features, curated bundles, and direct delivery options across India.

With interest from retail partners in Dubai, Singapore, and Melbourne, the brand’s vision is clear: build a globally loved, proudly Indian gifting company — one that never loses sight of its handcrafted roots.

In a world obsessed with speed and scale, Reddy Soft is choosing something softer, something more lasting: emotional connection.

And in doing so, it’s reminding all of us that sometimes, the best gifts are still the simplest — a toy, a story, and a little stitched smile.
