Murbad, Thane (Maharashtra), [India]: On January 15, 2026, Seva Sahyog Foundation, in collaboration with Aditya Birla Capital Foundation, successfully organized a Science Exhibition at Raiball Sahyadri Villa, Dhasai, Murbad, District Thane. The initiative was designed to foster scientific curiosity, innovation, and hands-on learning among school students from rural and semi-rural communities.

The exhibition emerged as a vibrant platform for experiential education, bringing together 15 schools that showcased 38 student-led science projects, thoughtfully categorized into Grades 5–7 and Grades 8–10. The models reflected real-world problem-solving approaches, covering themes such as solar energy, water conservation, innovative agricultural tools, artificial intelligence, and environmental sustainability.

Beyond static displays, the exhibition stood out for its interactive learning experiences, including foot rockets, fire rockets, chemical rockets, telescope demonstrations, and DIY science activities. These engaging installations transformed science into an accessible and enjoyable subject, attracting students from 10 surrounding schools. In total, the exhibition recorded 670 student visitors, underlining its wide community reach.

The event was graced by respected educationists and leaders, including Shri Ulhas Gholap (Retired Centre Head), Shri Pramod Gholap (Retired Principal), Shri Yogendra Vekhande (Principal, Aided Ashram School, Talvali), and Mr. Abhinandan Sah, Project Manager – Science and Technology Department, Seva Sahyog Foundation.

Speaking on the occasion, Mr. Abhinandan Sah emphasized the long-term vision behind such initiatives, stating:

“Science exhibitions like these help students connect classroom learning with real-life challenges. When children from rural regions experience science through hands-on models and experiments, it builds confidence, curiosity, and the belief that innovation is possible anywhere—not just in urban laboratories.”

Projects were carefully evaluated, and students were recognized with first, second, third, and motivational awards across both age groups. Participation certificates were also distributed to all students and schools, acknowledging their commitment and creativity.

The smooth execution of the exhibition was made possible through the dedicated efforts of Dnyaneshwar Gholap, Rashmi Bhoir, Dattatray Vyaari, System Chavan, Darshan Shinde,Pranali Chavan and Purva Patil, along with volunteers and SSF karyakartas.
