Dear Teachers,
Whenever we think of success in our lifetime, we almost always remember one teacher or the other. The country is on the path of progress on which it has moved and this journey will be comfortable only when every citizen is a stakeholder in this process and the traveller in this journey. For this to happen, it is essential that every citizen remains healthy and warm and is part of our collective efforts to overcome uncertainty and any other form of being illiterate in our intent and freedom of thought first. We must take this opportunity to thank all our teachers on the august occasion of the birthday of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan as celebrated so because of his love and attachment to the teaching profession, Teachers’ Day is celebrated all over India on his birthday.
The changing times coupled with the Corona crisis are new challenges for our teachers. I am glad that not only our teachers accepted this challenge but also turned it into an opportunity. Ways to incorporate more and more technology into the study, ways to assimilate new tools, and ways to help students get embraced seamlessly by our teachers is a commendable task that was undertaken by all our teachers. Today, all over the country, innovation is going on in one area or the other. Students and teachers are collaborating to innovate. I am sure that the way the National Education Policy is bringing about a tectonic change in the country and our teachers will play a vital role in passing its benefits to our students in the days to come.

Author Abhishek Kapoor shared a story on Instagram penning down a note for teachers on this teacher’s day, giving them the credit to mould lives. He wrote, “From the time we start kindergarten, away from our parents, until we graduate, teachers serve as our mentors. They have moulded us and guided us toward the best course of action in life. Teachers have always motivated us to do the right thing, given us advice on how to live our daily lives, and inspired us. Let us send our teachers our best wishes for Teacher’s Day and let them know how much we appreciate them.”

Ravinder Singh posted a video on Teachers’ Day sharing his thoughts about education in India. In the video, he displays a placard which says, “If I could add three new subjects to our education system, they would be Financial Literacy (at college level), Sex Education (at school level), and Handling Relationships (at PhD level). These three are more important than remembering the periodic table. Happy teachers day to all.”
