Hyderabad, (Telangana) [India] October 8, 2026: Hyderabad is set to witness another exciting chapter of fandom as Maruti Suzuki presents Hyderabad Comic Con powered by Crunchyroll, scheduled to return on December 11–13, 2026, at Bharat Future City. The three-day celebration will bring pure indulgence of comics, anime, gaming, cosplay, music, and immersive experiences to Hyderabad. It is also a significant step, as for the first time, Hyderabad Comic Con will now be part of the Invest Telangana Global Summit and the third year of partnering with India Joy, both initiatives by the Government of Telangana.
From vibing to pop culture songs and discovering the world of cosplay to battling it out in gaming zones, meeting creators and exploring interactive experiences, Hyderabad Comic Con will bring together the many sides of the city’s young and diverse community under one roof. Known for its royal heritage, iconic food, vibrant art, and thriving modern culture, Hyderabad knows how to celebrate what it loves, with Comic Con being one among many, as fans year after year come together to geek out over their favourite characters and stories.
Speaking on the announcement, Shefali Johnson, CEO, Comic Con India said, “Hyderabad is one of our most exciting Comic Con cities, with a community that brings incredible energy and enthusiasm to the showfloor. The city has a rich tradition of storytelling, and Cheriyal scroll paintings are a beautiful example of this, using a series of visuals to bring stories and characters to life, much like comics and graphic storytelling do today. We see that same love for stories in the way Hyderabad’s fans come together at Comic Con, whether through cosplay, comics, anime, gaming or simply sharing their favourite fandoms with each other. We are excited to return and celebrate this unique storytelling spirit with Hyderabad once again.”
Akshat Rathee, Co-founder and Managing Director, NODWIN Gaming said, “Comic Con is a celebration of stories, characters and fandoms, much like the festivals that bring people together every year. Hyderabad, with its rich storytelling culture, from the larger-than-life world of Telugu cinema to Telangana’s traditional art forms like Oggu Katha and Burrakatha, has always had a strong connection with stories and entertainment. Comic Con brings this spirit into a modern pop-culture space, where fans come together to celebrate what they love, express themselves and create memories. We are excited to bring this celebration back to Hyderabad and experience the city’s unique fandom once again.”
Comic Con gives a space to turn passion into an experience, whether by dressing up as a favourite character, competing in gaming tournaments, discovering new creators or simply finding people who speak the same fandom language. Hyderabad Comic Con will bring fans together to connect, create and celebrate the pop culture they love. Further adding to the experience, the event will feature the Hyderabad chapter of Indie Game Utsav, a platform dedicated to indie game developers who can showcase their creations to thousands of gamers and international publishers.
With an exciting three-day celebration lined up, Hyderabad Comic Con is set to bring together a diverse mix of international guests, live music performances, stand-up comedy, immersive brand experience zones, gaming, and a packed showcase of events and activities.
With so much in store for fans, this year’s edition is shaping up to be one of the biggest celebrations of pop culture the city has seen yet.
